I was off to work this morning doing the walking things and the neighbors dog
ran accross the street and up behind me a took a bite on my leg. It didn't break
the skin it just scratch it. I talk to the dogs owners nice little old lady. What
a way to start the week.
Newest addition to the computer junk pile is a Sony 926 External SCSI CDR.
I think I can even get it to run with my scsi scanner. scsi is cool when it works
but it can still be a pain in the butt to setup.

bunch of Japanese Streaming video/audio feeeds. I am watching Daily Yomiuri
in enlgish, its pretty cool.

I updated some internal scripts for the site and I have some idea on some
other minor changes. Installed that Diamond Monster MX300 last night.
Its a pretty nice card, seemed to free up some system resources.

service attack Monday afternoon for about 3 hours. sounds like the
same thing that happened to ID Software a month ago. You darn Hackers.

AMDs Athlon was showing off its stuff today. doing 1.1Ghz we recently got
some 500mhz in and they scream. 1 Ghz chips will be out 4th quarter.

Hackers going legit? I guess so. There is big money to be made becoming a

I found an article /rumor that seems to have some mac people scared.
Its some info on the possible Intel Internet Appliance. Looks an aweful
lot like some one elses machine at like a 3rd of the cost. Talks about 
16.5" monitor and a dvd drive and some kinda cheap mass produced 
Celeron knockoff. Also mentioned wireless and a $399 price point.
Oh yeah its still serveral months away.

DeCss and Playstation 2

I have been looking for some more DeCSS news. Everything I have found is
7 days old or older. I have been watching the logs and everyone is looking
for DeCSS online. Its amazing because this program is everywhere I doubt
any lawsuit will stop the spread of this program.

I found a Story on the new Playstation 2. Sounds like a screamer, I just
hope they can keep the price down with a DVD Player built-in. From
what I have heard the Internet / modem option will be an addon, too 
bad the Dreamcast comes internet ready. The PSX2 is coming out
in japan this month I think. Story here

Caldera has a version of linux that runs on 8megs and 3megs ROM its called Embedix Linux. Embeix runs on the most basic of processors, so my toaster will be embedded with linux. Sounds an awful lot like Java to me. It will be out in several months.
