WFA @Monday, April 30, 2001 - 23:53:31 - tu Played some more weapons factory. I dunno why I like that game, sometimes it can get so fustrating, other times its just great. I guess its a mixture of how much I suck verses how much other people suck. My machine doesn't suck but 56k kinda sucks. I found my binding from 2.1 so I am using all the binds to kick butt. There seems to be alot of changes to the game. sentry guns seem weaker, marine floating mines seem stronger and the chaingunners seem a bit more deadlier. These new levels are great, alot of thought and work went into them. I even saw some player handles I recognize from 3-4 months ago. Just got this too. Monday, April 30, 2001 9:56 PM >I found some more posts on sci.astro.seti on Usenet, >under the heading of "Signal?" This one the most interesting: "I have received a response directly from Carol Oliver at University of Western Sidney which runs Parkes which confirms that this is either a mistake or a hoax. "Dear Jason, I can categorically say this is a hoax. Note these things: 1. No source at Parkes was quoted (no-one has been approached) 2. No source at SETI Australia was quoted and we are the organisation running the SETI experiment at Parkes (again no-one has been approached). By the way, I've never heard of Radio Suisse Romande in Australia (including as a foreign correspondent). Please feel free to contact Helen Sim, the Communications Manager for the Australia Telescope National facility (which includes Parkes) Thank You Charlie.
Quake 3 Mod Weapons Factory 2.9 It's going to take awhile to get back in the WFA thing. A whole bunch of cool new maps. I have to remap all the binds for each class. I can see myself getting back into this game. The whole new Q3 interface & WFA look very different and very polished.

"[Bush] said there was no scientific proof for it," says Sting, "but he says he believes in God, and as far as I know, there is no scientific proof of that, either." Sting knows that as someone who lives here only part-time, he runs the risk of antagonizing people by shooting off his mouth. But he's willing to take that chance. "I'm a singer," he says. I used to be very anti gaming pc upgrade. I spent my money on my playstation back then so I was able to jump a generation or so on the upgrade game. I don't have a credit card and even if I did I wouldn't buy computer toys with it. It can get way too easy to buy stuff and say you'll pay for it later. I am spending my state tax returns on that notebook. I am also getting a Netgear 10/100 PCMCIA network card and a ADS PCMCIA USB adaptor. I should be all set with those 2 toys. I am surprised how many people don't have USB devices I have several USB devices and I could think of another 3 or 4 I could use. I would be cool with my camera and my notebook going around filling up the camera with photos and dumping them into the notebook. People are E-mailing the White House on Bush's Global Warming Policy Friends of Earth Homepage Page on E-mailing the Whitehouse My contribution... I am writing because I am concerned with the White Houses lack of concern for the Enivornment. Global Warming is one of the most serious problems we face today. I am disappointed in seeing the President oppose many items recently that can help the Environment. I am opposed to the president's plans to drill for oil in the Arctic Refuge. I was also disappoint to see the US abandon the Kyoto Treaty. I thought when Mr. Bush talked about lower CO2 emissions he was serious, I don't think people can put a price on global warming. Global Warming and the Environment are serious cross-party issues and steps should be taken to limit our impact on planet andd our children's future.
