Played some more weapons factory. I dunno why I like that game, sometimes
it can get so fustrating, other times its just great. I guess its a mixture
of how much I suck verses how much other people suck. My machine doesn't suck
but 56k kinda sucks. I found my binding from 2.1 so I am using all the binds
to kick butt. There seems to be alot of changes to the game. sentry guns seem
weaker, marine floating mines seem stronger and the chaingunners seem a bit
more deadlier. These new levels are great, alot of thought and work went into
them. I even saw some player handles I recognize from 3-4 months ago.

Australia. The people I talked to said the radio
station got mixed up. He mentioned something about
a kids science project. If there was a discovery
they would have it all over the place. He also said
there would be something online about the mix up.

This thing kicks butt, I love it. Jaton el-cheapo, they didn't even
put a fan on it.That heatsink is massive I have never seen one so
big. Quake 3 screams 1280x1024 maxxed out detail, very nice frame rate. I dropped down to 1024x768 the monitor only does 60hz above that. I am only running a k6 400mhz and it still rocks. Everything is running at 85 hz and much sharper than the TNT2. |

new maps. I have to remap all the binds for each class. I can see myself getting
back into this game. The whole new Q3 interface & WFA look very different

I survived.
That was a heck of alot of fun. We had 10? guys yeah two 5 man teams.
We played capture the flag and then later defend the flag, that one
was alot of fun.
I used a Brass Eagle Blade El cheapo 25 dollar walmart special. The
gun did much
better than I thought. I went through 5-6 CO2 tubes and 200-250 paintballs?
I got in a
my share of hits and took my share. It's a very hard experience to try
to describe.
The woods we played in were really thick, alot of undergrowth. I think
1/3 of my
shots hit branches and trees. We had some anti-fog spray so my mask
and
glasses didn't fog up too much. Does it hurt? Sure it hurts, not to
bad though.
I would do it every weekend if I had the time and money.
These pictures are of my left and right arm. It seems I am a bit wider
than
most of the trees I was hiding behind so my arms took all the hits.
I got one in the
combat harness and didn't even feel it. I got double hit on the right
arm by one
of the semi-autos. I yelled "I'm out" before he got me there
again with a third shot.

I got my Geforce2 MX400. Very basic version 64mb 4x AGP heatsink no fan made by Jaton.
Very good deal on it. I tried a bit of unreal tournament and some rogue spear.
I can't wait to try Quake 3 Arena and Weapons Factory on it. I noticed a big
improvement on my system. My old card was a Diamond viper 770 TNT2.
I can't stay up too late tonight since the big paintball game is tomorrow.

Picked up a Pentium 133 motherboard/case. I don't think I need 2 multimedia
servers. It came with an old IBM 8512 VGA monitor free. I've got all the other
parts already making this my 5th pc? What I need it one that runs at 800+ mhz.
That AMD price drop sounds pretty good to me. I could use the monitor with my
notebook, anything is better than that lcd screen.

end is doing too good of a job. I sometimes put stuff up here just for a place
to keep track of for my own good. My Urban Ops graphics settings.

I have been goofing around with my machine. I have been tweaking the settings
in Bios/Software to improve my game framerates. I noticed some real improvement.
I downloaded and installed a whole bunch of Urban Ops mods. Most of them were
weapons addons but also some maps and new skins.
The ones I have been playing are Deep Pockets, Smurf BSW, Commando and Firepower.
New ones to me are Heavy Defense, Heavy Fire, NMMV7, Xplosive Defense, DTD HK.
Also Endi_Six Skins, Team Hak Skins and a bunch of missions and maps.
I'll post some links to the sites I found these on.

I always wondered why they give you a screwdriver in your handspring stylus.
My boy dropped my visor in the rubber case. It wouldn't turn on.
I reset it, there was nothing in the memory. I had done a backup recently
so that was ok. The other problem was major vertical streaking. Alot of it
went away when after I opened it. I don't see any of it now, I think it was a

I got it to work. My Visor syncs to Notebook with a sync cable.
I followed the Handspring help page info and used IrLink 1.5
I am pretty sure I need the IRLink software because the Visor
is not running a palm OS 3.3 or higher. That Palm OS 3.3+ lets you choose
an IR Sync option in the Hot Sync menu. Also it doesn't like 115.2 only 57.6
Like someone pointed out to me. It has no practical use, its totally useless.

Too many toys, I sometimes forget how many I have and how lucky I am.
I used to be very anti gaming pc upgrade. I spent my money on my playstation
back then so I was able to jump a generation or so on the upgrade game.
I don't have a credit card and even if I did I wouldn't buy computer toys with it.
It can get way too easy to buy stuff and say you'll pay for it later. I am spending
my state tax returns on that notebook. I am also getting a Netgear 10/100 PCMCIA
network card and a ADS PCMCIA USB adaptor. I should be all set with those 2 toys.
I am surprised how many people don't have USB devices I have several USB devices
and I could think of another 3 or 4 I could use. I would be cool with my camera and
my notebook going around filling up the camera with photos and dumping them into
the notebook.

I am writing because I am concerned with the White Houses lack
of concern for the Enivornment. Global Warming is one of the most
serious problems we face today. I am disappointed in seeing the
President oppose many items recently that can help the Environment.
I am opposed to the president's plans to drill for oil in the Arctic
Refuge. I was also disappoint to see the US abandon the Kyoto Treaty.
I thought when Mr. Bush talked about lower CO2 emissions he was serious,
I don't think people can put a price on global warming. Global Warming
and the Environment are serious cross-party issues and steps should be
taken to limit our impact on planet andd our children's future.
