"I believe that we must proceed carefully with the LFA sonar, and must ensure that all concerns regarding negative impacts on whales and other marine mammals have been adequately addressed." The letter goes on to state his contacting people in the National Marine Fisheries Service about his concerns and they are holding discussion on it. Concern, but not officially opposed to it. For his votes of conscience, he was unfairly targeted for abuse, usually anonymously, by short-sighted party operatives from their comfortable perches in K Street offices, and by some Republican members of Congress and their staff. Perhaps those self-appointed enforcers of party loyalty will learn to respect honorable differences among us, learn to disagree without resorting to personal threats, and recognize that we are a party large enough to accommodate something short of strict unanimity on the issues of the day. Tolerance of dissent is the hallmark of a mature party, and it is well past time for the Republican Party to grow up." Here is a few worth reading. ``I have changed my party label, but I have not changed my beliefs. Indeed, my decision is about affirming the principles that have shaped my career" - James Jeffords ``Looking ahead I can see more and more instances where I will disagree with the president on very fundamental issues: the issues of choice, the direction of the judiciary, tax and spending decisions, missile defense energy and the environment,'' - James Jeffords "Increasingly, I find myself in disagreement with my party. I understand that many people are more conservative than I am and they form the Republican Party. Given the changing nature of the national party it has become a struggle for the leaders to deal with me and indeed for me to deal with them," - James Jeffords ``I think it's unfortunate that the Republican Party has been such a difficult place for moderates,'' said Barbara Snelling, a state senator and former lieutenant governor. ``The party has changed, and now it doesn't seem to be able to live with moderates.'' Florida Re-visited More like picking a scab. AP - Papers Find No Clear Florida Winner USA Today, however, concluded that Al Gore probably lost between 15,000 to 25,000 votes . The papers found Gore's name was marked on overvotes far more often than Bush's name. USA Today and The Miami Herald reported Friday that George W. Bush would have narrowly won a hand recount under the strictest standards for judging votes, while Al Gore would have won under the most liberal. Overvotes leaned to Gore Gore wins narrowly under two undervote standards, by margins of 332 and 242 votes; Bush wins narrowly under two other undervote standards, by 407 and 152 votes. All are closer than Bush's official 537-vote margin. The Herald found that an astonishing 108,115 overvotes -- 97 percent of the total -- are lost forever. I went through 3 cartridges and the last one we counted 30 rounds. I thought the velocity was a little low, I don't have alot to go by. It was pretty accurate and not too loud. I can see how easy it would be to spray alot of paint with a semi-auto. I may get a 12oz tank if one of the guys does get a refill station. I stripped down the gun last night and increased the velocity just slightly. The gun is very simple to take apart and I used a bit of gun oil on the bolt etc..
