Japan's top pop idol Namie Amuro divorces

In a joint statement, the two said their career paths were taking them in different directions
and they were not able to spend as much time together. But they said they plan to continue
working together and raising their 4-year-old son Haruto as they have been doing.

I thought they seperated years ago? Not long after the birth of their son.
