03/17/2003 Archived Entry: "Showing Cards"

March 6th
"It's time for people to show their cards and let people know where they
stand in relation to Saddam,"
Bush said at a prime-time news conference.

Bush demanded a vote on the draft resolution regardless of the outcome,
challenging Security Council members to ''show their cards'' immediately.
Shortly thereafter, Bush administration officials reversed course, agreeing
to postpone or cancel the vote if it appeared it would not pass.

March 17th
''I was the guy that said they ought to vote. And one country voted.
They showed their cards, I believe. It's an old Texas expression,
`Show your cards,' when you're playing poker,'' Bush said.
''France showed their cards.''

Well I guess we walked out of the card game when we knew that
we weren't going to win. We showed them.

Replies: Talking

I can not wait until 2004. We need to vote this idiot with mush in his mouth out of office, and vote to kick HIM out of the country. His good 'ole boy act is wearing thin, his policy of 'If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a hell of a lot easier" needs to be stopped. The sheep of the US need to use their power as a people and get him out of office, or show him he's a jackass by voting him out in 2k4.

Power to the People.

In the next few days, I think ya better smoke 'em if you got 'em, because this war is not going to be a quick one.
