Senior British MP resigns over war stance.
Robin Cook was Mr Blair's first foreign secretary and more recently the leader
of the House of Commons. "I cannot accept collective responsibility for the
decision to commit Britain now to military action in Iraq without international
agreement or domestic support".

PM: Canada won't join U.S. forces
"If military action proceeds without a new resolution of the security council, Canada
will not participate," Chrétien said to loud applause in the House of Commons.

Our PM is getting hammered today by the critics - as par the course I suppose. Yes it could hurt our relations with the US but our PM did this because the majority of our country and other government officials were opposed to this war without the UN approval. I am proud of him for standing up, it couldn't have been easy.
