I have to agree with you on that one. Apple stepped up and did the right thing with the AppleCare on Ipod, but it's still too much $$$$, but then again, if you spend 500 clams on it, I suppose the 50 bux to replace isn't so bad.

I use my Casio BE-300, it has a 256 CF card and mpeg/mp3/divx playback options.
No the Ipods seem pretty cool, thats a huge amount of music storage.
I wish it had a replaceable battery like cordless phones have.

Bought my brother an Ipod for his B-Day (PC version). Pretty damn sweet piece of love right there. Bought myself a 30 gig version for my Mac. I like it a lot more than the Creative Zen, don't hate me for that one. I think the sound quality is a lot better out of the Ipod.

Ron, you have one yet? I rigged my car's cd changer control port to be able to play the Ipod through the stereo. No more luggin' CD's. WHOOP!
