03/28/2005 Archived Entry: "Anime ramblings"

I've been trying to catch up on my Fansubbed Anime Series. I was really behind
(like 8-9 episodes) with Mia Hime, I was really amazed at how much the story
has evolved and how it's ending. I'm also caught up with Jinki Extended, which
was pissing me off with all the flashbacks within flashbacks. At the end of
episode 9 it makes much sense. The ANBU sub font choise is simply horrible.
I dunno if someone put the NGE comparison in my head, but I think about it too much.
Mahou Sensei Negima is one of those series I wonder why I watch it. I just find
much of it to stereotypical of what is wrong with some anime. The characters
interaction just isn't believable or interesting. On the other hand Mahoraba
Heartful Days characters are what make that show. I was surprised how
easily I was sucked into Gundam Seed Destiny. The cliffhanger between
episodes 22 and 23 really had me. I still haven't gone back and watched
the earlier series. I haven't caught up on watching Beck yet. I'm still waiting
to see some more Sunabozu Episodes from Lunar. I have most of the RAWs
if they don't finish the series. About the only show my wife has been watching
with me is Air. Koi releases episodes during the weekend and it looks like the
12th episode is trying to be released.
