11/15/2001 Entry: "MP3 Fun"

I saw an IPod commerical last night on TV. At the bottom it said (don't steal music)
I just thought that was too funny. I rip my own CD collection and I have been known
to download an mp3 or two in my life. I have bought and not bought certain CDs
because I have heard MP3 off those albums. I am more than willing to compensate
artists that I listen to that I like by buying their CDs. Buying a CD on the basis of
one song now a days is just silly. Most of the time the album is crap and there is
just one or two singles that make it big. I think this whole anti PC audio cd thing
is just a silly idea. I haven't heard of a copy protect someone has figuired out how
to get around. The big one coming up of course is the DVD-RW formart that people
will be able to use to store 4-20 gigs of stuff on one disc.
