The guys at work let me borrow some gear while my DSL is being moved.
It's 900mhz Alvarion Gear that goes through walls and trees. It's crazy how
well it works. I have it going through one interior wall and one exterior wall.
The Tower is just down the road maybe several hundred feet or so away.
An up to date picture of my little Buddha Collection. I'm not a big fan of the fat happy ones.
The little tiny brass is the oldest one, I've had him since 1991.

This was my squad on the Zatar Wetlands map. I think three of them were real military.
I was squad leader and we all had Mics/VOIP. It was just amazing working together.
We kicked major butt, the score ended up being 44 to 0.

BF2 hack is already out :-(
So I am chasing these SpecOps guys in a buggy back to my main base.
I don't have a gunner so there is not much I can do. I follow them like
halfwayacross the map and I do this crazy jump really fast and my buggy
lands on theirs killing all four of us =)
On this later mission my Team was getting overrun again and again. So I became an engineer
and laid out all these mines at the Hotel. I took out a couple enemy vehicles, but the important
part was we didn't lose that flag and we won the match. Of course a couple teammates didn't
notice the giant red skull and bones so I ended that match in the hole. If I hadn't defended we
probably wouldn't have won (we lost the previous 3 games.)

Of course I played some more BF2 tonight. Pete and I used the in game VOIP.
I used the VOIP with 3-4 other people in my squads. It's funny I think I score
higher lonewolf, but we win more often when we squad up.Xfire did an update that gives you much more BF2 info, very nice.

Very cool stuff. So that inspired me to hook up my own VOIP stuff and give it a whirl.

This was my last match of the night. My team won. I'm enjoying not being commander.
I've been going mad crazy with the MEC Anti-Armor kit. I'm getting really good at taking
out people with it. It doesn't have the mad splash damage of the RPG in BFVietnam.
I even tried joining and follow a squad leader, it's a really way to play compared to Lone Wolf.
I'm going to start using this Xfire program to keep track of people and my game times etc..

Ok so I've just put in something like 6-7+ hours into the demo for Battlefield 2.
The games runs great on my machine at Med. settings at 1024x768
I've been doing almost more commander time than regular fighting. Once people
get used to forming squads and communicating more it should make things smoother.
I really enjoyed the whole engine, the way you move and shoot, but also the vehicles.
I was even able to spend some time in a chopper although I had a little trouble configuiring
the joystick. I can't wait to jump into a game with 4-5 guys and form up a squad, etc..
I mostly played the 32 player map because of the options that sized map has.
I was run over first thing in the single player game, the AI squashed me. Bedtime...

A massive underground bunker complex that included air-conditioned living
quarters and high tech military equipment, including night vision goggles.That bunker was found cut from a rock quarry in Karmah, 50 miles west of Baghdad.

There is a new video for BF2. It seems to be another ingame opening (leaked?) movie.

Note the Chopper is dropping flares to confuse the Stinger Missile.

I've been tweaking my computers at home. I've moved my promise PCI IDE card out of my
Gigabyte Nforce Athlon 64 system. It just doesn't play with the other devices. It works
flawlessly in my AthonXP Nforce2 machine. I've re-formatted and repartitioned and re-installed
my primary Athlon64 harddrive. I wanna build a really stable system for BF2.
